Information security roles have evolved and grown significantly over the years. Before the increased use of computers and the web then there would have been very little need for an information systems audit. Nowadays this role is very important and they examine the management controls within an IT infrastructure. This obtained evidence will then be evaluated to determine if the information systems are safeguarding assets and maintaining data integrity.

A financial statement audit will differ from an IT audit. The purpose of an IT audit is to evaluate the system’s internal control design and effectiveness. Whereas a financial audit’s purpose, is to establish whether an organisation is adhering to standard accounting practices.
The jobs available for graduates looking to become an auditor, has increased and within internal audit jobs there will be specific fields that graduates can specialise in such as the IT audit role.

LinkedIn is an essential tool for any recruiter to source candidates. It can also be used as part of a recruitment marketing strategy. Many recruiters believe recruitment web design and job listing functionality are the core ways to get conversions, but consider LinkedIn too.
LinkedIn’s Company Pages have a career tab that can be used by corporates or agencies to advertise vacancies. LinkedIn have paid or free job advertising tools. By posting jobs in profile statuses or in Groups they are visible to active or passive job seekers. If someone ‘likes’ a status it then repost on their feed, spreading the role to their contacts too. Direct messages can also be used if someone is within your network, and this can be the start of a relationship with a candidate.

One of the reasons property management jobs are enjoyed is because of the variety of skills that are demanded on a daily basis. The variety of the workload is a key reason for this. It is said by professionals in the industry that being proactive is a better strategy than reactive. This requires planning and organization of projects and building maintenance.
Flexibility and problem solving are also needed, and there is a large part of the role that is reactive to whatever issue arises. You’re often the front line to deal with urgent issues. As a result liaising with contractors and clients is going to be an on-going and prominent part of the role. Numeracy and accurate administrative skills are needed too.

Given the globalised nature of the world economy, many companies, in particular large multinationals, rely on a global supply chain with components coming from all corners of the world. In addition to the potential problems caused by natural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods and the like, there is also the issue of tense geopolitical situations. In particular, the situation in the Middle East is a huge issue for international supply chains, and has the potential to affect the minutiae of everyday life – if Iran decides to close the Strait of Hormuz, where between 20 and 30 percent of the world’s oil goes through every day, the price of oil will jump from $300 a barrel to $350. The importance then is to ensure that supply chains are well organised and capable of dealing with disasters, and this means using supply chain recruitment agencies that are able to find the best people to ensure supply chains are exposed to as little risk as possible.

Figures released today demonstrate that the Coalition Government’s restricting of NHS budgets has had an adverse effect on some trusts spending on patient food. Some hospitals and primary care centres have reduced their average daily spend per patient to as low as £2.57, and almost a tenth pay less than £5 per day to feed their patients. This balancing of budgets has been a direct response to the limiting of available capital for such health centres, and many medical recruitment agencies say that some PCTs now see an expert in finance or administrative skills as being as vital to a hospital as an expert physician. This is undoubtedly the case, as hospitals seek to maintain the quality of patient care while finding that the money they have available diminishes.
